If you plan to change your diet and lifestyle, I recommend making change for at least 2 weeks prior to doing blood work as blood can shift quite quickly. Also, be sure to stop any non-essential supplements at least 5 days prior to doing blood work as they can impact the results or mask issues. It is especially important to stop B vitamins 5 days prior to thyroid labs. If you take thyroid medications, please wait to take it until after the blood draw if possible (you may need to check with your doctor). Do not discontinue the use of any medication without first consulting with your physician.
